Letter From The Editor

In a world full of souls fighting tooth and nail to acquire accolades and surface-level ties for the sake of amassing piles of earthly treasure and fame, there is yet another rather counter-cultural group.

For they seek not the things of this earth, nor boast of their own accord, but instead store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal. They are the meek, the humble, the poor, the ragamuffins who march to the beat of a different drum. Sojourners who have come to flip this world on its head by speaking of an Upside-Down Kingdom and boasting endlessly of their weakness because, in it, they find a strength unmatched by any earthly ruler. If you encounter one, and I pray you do, you will hear them speak boldly of another King, Jesus!

Encompassed within the ensuing pages are such stories. Stories of faith, life, redemption, and grace. Stories of individuals willing to leave the ninety-nine to save the one, to be mocked or imprisoned, all for the love of the lost and downtrodden. Their joy is not fueled by this life or the pretty things that are here today and gone tomorrow, but rather is hidden in eternity. Their roadmap is fixed on a narrow, far less traveled highway. This Way of Holiness leads to a new heaven and a new earth - where the lame leap like a deer, the tongues of the mute sing for joy, and sorrow and sighing are no more.

Our prayer is that the stories of these heavenly wayfarers will ignite a fire within your soul and inspire you to see, speak, and walk in a way unrecognizable to the norms of this decaying world. As we forge ahead to the ends of the earth, we extend an open hand in invitation to join us as we continue to turn this world upside down!

Trodding on as The Pursuit Collective,
